Peer Tutoring

The Peer Tutoring program, available at both the Fort Steilacoom and Puyallup campuses, provides free assistance to Pierce College students who need to develop skills for success in their courses. Through individualized attention, tutors help fellow students gain self-confidence and become independent learners, as well as grasp specific subject matter.

You may request a tutor or may apply to be a tutor at either campus. To be a tutor you must be currently enrolled at Pierce College, have a 3.5 average in the tutored subject, a 3.2 cumulative GPA and department recommendation; and attend a series of tutoring skills seminars. In Puyallup, go to the Tutoring Center in L207. At Fort Steilacoom, go to room CAS 526 in the Cascade Building.
