W courses being discontinued Fall 2003

Beginning Fall 2003 Pierce College will no longer require a "W" course to graduate with an AAS degree. A different "writing across the curriculum" program will be implemented soon but will not be part of the degree requirements.

Students who want or need to obtain their degree in June 2003 or August 2003 must still complete the "W" requirement. To accommodate those students who are near graduating, Summer Quarter 2003 will be the final quarter where courses will be listed as "W". See the bulletin for Summer 2003 for a complete listing of courses.
