Medical Expense Plan

The Board of Trustees hereby delegates authority to the district Chancellor or his/her designee to establish a medical expense plan for eligible administrative exempt employees of Pierce College. RCW 28B.50.553 authorizes the establishment of medical expense plans for eligible administrative exempt employees of Pierce College under rules established by the college, whereas, paying for medical insurance and medical expenses after retirement is a major concern of employees and the Internal Revenue Code permits the establishment of tax-free medical expense plans for groups of eligible employees.
