Point of Care Testing

The test is located inside a zipped folder. For the program to run properly, you must save and unzip the LifeScan folder to your computer.

Follow these steps to do so:

Windows

  1. Click on the test link
  2. Save the zipped folder to your desktop
  3. Open the zipped folder that you just saved
  4. Just inside this is another folder named LifeScan
  5. Click and drag this folder onto the desktop.

NOTE: you should now have 2 folders named LifeScan on your desktop (one with a zipper icon, one without)

  6. Now, open the folder without the zipper on it.
  7. Here is where you should see 4 items (media, autorun, myfile, and SureStepFlexx)

NOTE: the only file you will use is the SureStepFlexx, but you must keep the other files there for the program to run.

  8. Double click or run the SureStepFlexx file and the program will begin.

NOTE: the SureStepFlexx file should have an icon that looks like this IMAGE: Flash logo if you have correctly unzipped the folder and files.

Troubleshooting: If your program is running and you come to a blank screen, that means you are still working from the zipped folder. Make sure that you have taken the LifeScan folder out of the zipped LifeScan folder.

Clean-up: After you are sure you have the unzipped version on your desktop, you may delete the zipped folder and its contents. They are no longer needed.
