Your Introduction to Pierce College

Online introduction covers the same topics as our on-campus orientation sessions, and you can prepare for school in the comfort of your own home. Select a section to learn more, meet other new students, and tour campus.

ID number & card

Your 9-digit Student Identification number (SID) is assigned by the college.

Use your ID at the computer labs, library, Fitness Center. Get discounts on campus activities and at selected movie theaters, bookstores, and other local businesses.

When you use Student Online Services, you use either an "inquiry" PIN or a "registration" PIN:

  • The registration PIN is a randomly-assigned six-digit number. You must see your advisor or become self-advised to get your registration PIN each quarter. Use this PIN with your SID to register online!
  • The inquiry PIN is based on your birth date. (September 9, 1980 becomes 090980.) You should change your PIN to a number you can remember that others are not likely to guess. Use this PIN with all other Student Online Services.

Get your free student ID card at the Student Programs office. Bring your class schedule as proof of enrollment.
