Certificate in Correctional Mental Health Degree Outcomes

  1. Graduates will develop and maintain personal and professional relationships through respect, clear boundaries, empathy and honest interactions.
  2. Graduates will critically assess one’s own attitudes, values and assumptions and consider their impact the community(s) they serve.
  3. Graduates will build knowledge of diverse ideas, values, perspective and experiences.
  4. Graduates will articulate the significant signs and symptoms associated with major types of mental illness.
  5. Graduates will incorporate an ethic of care in all aspects of practice to ensure humane treatment for clients/consumers/patience, regardless of race, creed, diagnosis, wealth, age (develop appreciation social justice).
