Pierce College offers the Associate in Social Service/Mental Health at the Ft. Steilacoom campus. The degree is intended for those who seek immediate entry–level employment in the fields of social services and mental health.
AA Degree & Certificate in AA Social Service/Mental Health
The Associate in Arts degree with the Social Service/Mental Health Certificate option is designed to prepare students for entry–level positions, to enhance the skills of persons working in the social services and to transfer to four–year programs of study.
Social Service/Mental Health Certificate
Pierce College offers the Certificate in Social Service/Mental Health at the Ft. Steilacoom campus. It can be combined with the Associate in Arts degree for those who wish to use it as a stepping stone to further education. The work in this demanding but rewarding field routinely involves interviewing, counseling, crisis intervention, assessment, outreach, coordination and community development.
