Pierce College, in conjunction with State Fire Protection Services, Fire Service Training, offers both an associate degree and a certificate in Fire Command Administration. Occupational specialty courses combined with general education courses help personnel with their current assignments while also preparing them for future administrative positions in the fire service training field.
The associate degree program meets the performance standards adopted by the Washington State Association of Fire Chiefs, Inc. for Fire Officer I and II.
Pierce's program is offered at Fort Lewis and is open only to individuals who are currently members of a fire protection agency, including those who work as volunteer firefighters. Persons with no firefighter training should contact Bates Technical College for basic fire science training.
