PierceTV - Archive - 2009

Winter Edition

The early winter edition of PierceTV has our hosts, Catherine Peterson and Ryan Burkholder present a segment on the an integrated project between the Dental Hygiene program and Diagnostic Fitness and Health Technician program. The episode features Ruth Ann Hatchett from the Pierce College Foundation, Jon Grote from our Construction Management program and for our "Meet the Instructor" segment, Kendra Ralstin from the Humanities department on the Puyallup Campus. Also featured are 3D film shorts from the Digital Design programs beginning 3D Modeling and Animation students, Animated Photos from second year Digital Design students and a collage of paintings from Ann Schuster's painting class.

November

The mid-Fall edition of PierceTV has our hosts, Catherine Peterson and Ryan Burkholder introducing segments on the new Diagnostic Fitness and Health Technician program, a Transitional Education segment with Lori Griffin and this month's Meet the Instructor segment with Alan Kemp. Also featured in this episode is 2D and 2D animations from the Digital Design department, drawings from Ann Schuster's Art classes, and dramatic readings from SLAM performed by Patrick Daugherty's drama students.

October

The Early Fall edition of PierceTV introduces our new hosts: Catherine Peterson and Ryan Burholder. The episode includes 2D and 3D animation from the Digital Design program, segments with Amy Warren from the BTECH program at Fort Steilacoom and Ciaran Bloomer from the the CNE program at Puyallup, a film short from drama students Thanh-Hoa Le and Rosetta Jones, artwork from Ann Schuster's art students and images from our Raider Soccer and Volleyball teams.

Summer

The summer 2009 episode for PierceTV features our hosts, Jennifer Whited and Danny Priest presenting segments with Monica Hospenthal from Dental Hygiene, Katherine Hensley from Nursing, Mike Campbell from Emergency Management and Kerrie Murphy from our Occupational Safety programs. The summer episode also features 3D animation, photo-realistic 3D imaging and Flash cartoons from the Digital Design program, dramatic readings from the 2009 edition of SLAM, and images from our Raider Baseball and Fastpitch teams.

May

The May episode for PierceTV has our hosts, Jennifer Whited and Danny Priest presenting segments featuring Greg Brazell and Krissy Kim from Early Childhood Education and Jon Grote from the Construction Managament Program. This month's Meet The Instructor segment is with Tom Pickering, a Business instructor from our Puyallup Campus. This episode also features 3D animation, vector imaging and animation artwork from the Digital Design program, dramatic readings from SLAM, Terry Mirande from our Interpreter progarm and a music video from Digital Movie Making student Raimond Rogers.

April

The April episode for PierceTV features our hosts, Jennifer Whited and Danny Priest presenting segments from the Pierce College Criminal Justice program and the Pierce College Percussion Ensemble with Donnie Bell. This month's Meet The Instructor segment is with Sharon Russell, an English instructor from our Fort Steilacoom Campus. The April episode also features 3D animation and digital imaging from the Digital Design program, dramatic readings from SLAM, and a music video from Digital Movie Making student Kevin Matte, featuring local artist 151Proof.

February

The February Episode for PierceTV features our hosts, Jennifer Whited and Danny Priest. The guests for this month are: Christy Flynn on the Pierce College Libraries, Ron May on the new Science and Technology building at Fort Steilacoom, and Monica Nucciarone with some motivational thoughts towards making college a priority. This month's Meet The Instructor segment is on Tony Granata, a math instructor from our Puyallup Campus. The episode also features 3D animation and digital imaging from the Digital Design program, a segment from Continuing Education, dramatic readings from SLAM, and a music video from Digital Movie Making student Kevin DeFlitch.
