May 11 Spaghetti Dinner at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom Performance Lounge, 5 p.m. Educational Workshop with Dave Scott Nutrition for Peak Performance - Fueling for Training and Racing
Hear how fueling effects energy output, immune system function and recovery before, during and after exercise. The feature presentation provides the developing, fitness and competitive athlete with the tolls for building their traning and race day replenishment strategy for success.
Scott was the first inductee into the Ironman Hall of Fame and is recognized as the premier triathlon athlete and coach. He also will be participating in the educational workshops at the Runner’s Fair on May 12.
"I am excited to be a part of the Pierce College inaugural Runner's Fair. I enjoy working with individuals who have a passion for optimal health and an active lifestyle," said Scott.
May 12: Pierce Presents Runner's Fair
The Pierce College Runner's Fair 5k is an all-day event on Saturday, May 12, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom. The fair includes free educational workshops for runners of all levels, a free Tot Trot for youth aged 11 and under, and awards. Vendors from a variety of local businesses also will participate.
