Pine needles in my underpants

Here are seven semi-interesting things you may need to know about me:

1. I am the communications specialist at Pierce College. That means I do news releases, the employee newsletter (The PEN), assorted copy for brochures, Web sites, and much, much more.

2. I came to Pierce in December 2007 after working eight years as a newspaper reporter.

3. I’m a native of Southern Oregon (the Rogue Valley), but I have lived in Washington since October 2006 (first in Centralia, now in Puyallup).

4. The two loves of my life are my schnauzers, Barley and Dougal. They are the sum of all that’s good in the world.

5. I don’t dance. Ever.

6. I compulsively wave when someone tries to take my picture. I can’t help it. Dorky smile, wave…every time.

7. I once buried a sweater under my parents’ house to avoid wearing it to school. It’s true.
