If you’re looking for great summer reads, here are some that I’ve just finished:
Blood and Ice – Robert Masello
Arctic explorers find a block of ice underwater and inside are a man and woman chained together. Brought back to the surface, the couple revive and everyone finds out not only how they came to be that way but why. If you read this book have your cross and garlic close by!
The Strain – Guillermro De Toro and Chuck Hogan.
Projected to be a trilogy, this is the first book in the set. A 777 lands in New York and after coming to a stop, goes absolutely still. Investigators find everyone inside dead except for 4 survivors. And a coffin in the baggage area that disappears. There’s a new marshall in town and he’s got fangs!! Very good book!
One Second After – William R. Forstchen
When the US is attacked it is by nuclear weapons exploded in space to create a giant EMP that renders anything elecrical totally useless. No computers, communication or even cars. Civilization gets knocked back 500 years and tries to survive. Try to imagine life without power or medical care.
I’ll share more as they come!
