Hello everyone, my name is Edward J. For the next few months I will be blogging about my experience here at Pierce College as a student and student leader. I hope you enjoy my little blog or at least get a laugh at my futile attempt to enlighten the world one blog at a time.
Well school started a few weeks back, have to say that one of the most intresting classes I am taking is philosophy, just to many questions are brought up and no real answers. Although for a concept that has no “boundaries” their sure are a lot of rules one must follow to be a true philoshopher and great thinker…I just hope I can think my way into a good grade. I thought about challenging the teacher on the reasoning behind grades, and attendance… if I dont show up to class am I really skipping or am I just questioning the institutions allturistic approach to police and control the studendts? I wisely decided against it. Looking forward to seeing what challenges await me as the class progresses, I like the professor though she seems sharp and respectful.
We gave out free pizza the other day, after a performance by Eric E. If you where there I hope you liked it, if you were not there where were you? Dont let it happen again….
This past weekend I flew to L.A. to visit my mom (with my professors permission mind you, come on we have to be responsible). It was an intresting experience for sure. The plane ride was a little rough, I was seated in between two plus sized people and I am no featherweight myself. It was a little uncomfortable but I managed. I had to take a shuttle van to my destination becuase my mom was staying at a rough part of town, Compton. My driver seemed to avoid every stop sign and floored it through traffic lights. My visit was great I enjoyed my time with my mom (she was getting treatment for an illness, but is doing so much better that all her doctors are amazed!!! Prayer does work people!!!). It was sad to leave her but It’s also good to be back home. Well that’s it for now, until next time…Stay Golden!!
