Submission guidelines

Now you can submit online!

Online submissions (prose and poetry only) must be in MS Word or RTF. Because only Pierce College students are allowed to participate in SLAM, your name and student ID number are required.

E-mail address is only required if you would like to receive a copy of your message. Either a phone number or an e-mail address is required to inform you whether your entry was accepted.

Students may also submit their work via campus mail. All poets, writers, artists, and photographers are asked to limit the number of submitted works to ten. All submissions should include a brief biographical note and be addressed to SLAM. Unless directed otherwise, all submissions will be recycled. Anyone wishing work to be returned should include an SASE with the submission.

Students are strongly encouraged to submit their work on disk. Students should indicate file format and platform. Disks will not be summarily returned but may be picked up by contacting an Editorial Board member.
