COST: $4944.00

Cost Break-down

5 Credits Tuition/Continuing Education Fee: $455.50 (to be adjusted when Summer Quarter 2008 tuition is determined, but will NOT affect total cost)

Continuing Education CG Fee: $7.00

Travel Expenses: $4481.50 (see detailed breakdown of what this covers below).

If taking this trip for credit, many financial aid packages will cover the tuition portion of the trip. Some packages may even cover more. Consult your financial aid specialist for details.

Total Cost Includes

Round trip airfare, Seattle-Galapagos Islands via Quito, Ecuador (another departure city may be arranged if desired, but you will be responsible for extra charges if any)

Airport transfers and day tour of Quito (tips NOT included)

3 nights hotel accommodations (double occupancy) in Quito, Ecuador [2 nights before and 1 after visiting the Galapagos (including 3 breakfasts)]

$100 Galapagos National Park entrance fee

7 nights room and board on Yacht Eden while touring the Galapagos (breakfast, lunch, dinner included)

Day trip expenses to Volcān Chico volcanic area on Sierra Negra Volcano, Isabella Island (tour guide tips NOT included)

Snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins) (but if you’re serious about snorkeling, bring your own)

Field Guide with detailed itinerary and other important items of interest

Price does NOT include

Meals while not on the yacht (2 lunches and 2 dinners in Quito; possibly 3 meals in the Galapagos while ashore)

Yacht Eden crew tips ($100-$200 depending on service)

Other tips and tour costs (plan on $50-100)

Other day tour costs in Quito and Puerto Ayora (about $20)

Quito, Ecuador airport departure tax (about $35)

Soft drinks/alcoholic beverages on Yacht Eden

Optional scuba diving fees ($75/dive payable in cash to the Eden captain)

Wet suit rental for snorkeling (available aboard Eden for $25/week)
