How to Become a Tutor

Qualifications

  • Have attended college (at Pierce or elsewhere) for at least one quarter
  • Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Have a minimum 3.2 grade point average (GPA) in the discipline seeking to tutor
  • Friendly personality with effective communication skills
  • A desire to help fellow students achieve their academic goals

To Apply

  • Complete the Tutor Interest Form
  • Submit a Tutor Application, with attached Schedule of Availability (available for print below)
  • Submit a Resume outlining previous work and/or volunteer experience
  • Provide a recommendation from an instructor (either an independent letter or a signed referral form provided in link below)
