Strategic Plan

After involving more than 200 people within the college and the communities it serves in 2000-2001, the Pierce College District adopted five strategic directions to guide it into the future. This plan is a living document, and currently more than 30 work units within the district are instituting action and assessment plans to move the district forward. A process is also in development that will guide the next year of planning and activities to maintain the vitality of this plan. Pierce College District's strategic directions are:

Strategic Direction One

Pierce College will foster a learning-centered environment to serve its diverse students, staff and community through continual identification and assessment of learning needs for the 21st century. Read more about this direction and its application.

Pierce College will act with an understanding of and respect for the College as a dynamic, complex district serving the needs of its diverse communities. Read more about this direction and its application.

Strategic Direction Three

Pierce College will implement continuous improvement processes that provide meaningful feedback to achieve excellence. Read more about this direction and its application.

Strategic Direction Four

Pierce College will diversify and increase resources to provide quality programs and services, facilities, technology, and human resources to support its community of learners. Read more about this direction and its application.
