Smoking policy

Pierce College Fort Steilacoom and Puyallup are non-smoking campuses, with smoking permitted only in designated areas.

Student code of conduct (Rights and Responsibilities)

Pierce College's code of student rights and responsibilities gives rules of student conduct, guarantees certain student rights and establishes procedures governing student conduct.

Non-discrimination policy

Pierce College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, sex or marital status in admission to and participation in educational programs, college activities or employment. See also:

Alcohol/drug-free environment policy

Pierce College intends to provide a drug-free, healthful, safe and secure environment. Each student and employee is expected to be in an appropriate mental and physical condition to participate in learning opportunities and work duties. The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of a controlled substance in or on Pierce College-owned or controlled property or while conducting Pierce College business is prohibited. Violation of this policy will be reason for disciplinary action.

Student grievance procedures

These rules cover complaints based on discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment of students by Pierce College faculty or staff.
