Students who successfully complete the HIIT degree will be eligible to apply for entry-level IT positions in the healthcare industry. Jobs include junior database administrator, database developer, business analyst and application analyst.
The Health Informatics and Integrated Technology degree is eligible for the financial need-based Opportunity Grant Scholarship. Visit the Opportunity Grant web page to see if you are eligible and to download an application form.
Adults who are moving from current jobs and/or degrees in healthcare or IT can have their experiences evaluated for college credit through the Prior Learning Assessment process.
Financial aid and scholarships are frequently available to students who qualify. In addition, special funding may be available for unemployed workers or low-wage working parents.
A variety of Pierce College’s HIIT program credits can be applied to bachelor’s degrees in health informatics, healthcare management, management information systems, and IT management. Contact the HIIT program lead or coordinator for details.
