Pierce College invites the community to a special event on Jan. 24, featuring three Distinguished Alumni who will share inspirational stories from their experience at Pierce and beyond. This free event takes place Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom’s Cascade Building Performance Lounge.

Pierce Talks features short conversations with entrepreneur Jerry McLaughlin, retired firefighter Karen Leming, and Retired U.S. Army General, politician and physician Dr. Stan Flemming.

These former Distinguished Alumni will offer their perspectives on how Pierce College has impacted them both personally and professionally. Following the discussions, there will be a question and answer segment moderated by Prof. Melonie Rasmussen, allowing audience members the opportunity to learn more about each speaker.

“This event will provide a great opportunity to celebrate our alumni, while connecting them with our current students,” said Donor and Alumni Relations Manager Nicole Ferris. “This year’s speakers have made a profound impact on their communities, and we’re looking forward to hearing about how their time at Pierce College helped them get to where they are today.”

Pierce Talks is free and open to the community. Pierce College Fort Steilacoom is located at 9401 Farwest Drive SW in Lakewood. For more information about Pierce Talks, please email foundation@pierce.ctc.edu.
