Applicants to the Veterinary Technology Program must complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) assessment test.  This test is available online through a company called ATI and our program has scheduled the final session for 2021 program applicants on April 6 at 10 a.m.  All applicants who have not yet taken the exam must register for this session.

To take the TEAS test you must do the following:

  1. Create a student account on the ATI website.  When creating the account choose Pierce College Ft. Steilacoom AH as your college program.
  2. Register to take the TEAS test on the ATI website by logging in to your student account.  Your test ID number is 18176409 and your password is 37P4974A49. You will pay for your test during registration. Payment can be made by credit card on the ATI website. The total cost of taking the TEAS test is $70: $65 for the test and a $5 online testing fee.
  3. Complete the recommended dry run practice test 48 hours prior to your scheduled TEAS test to ensure you have access to the test and that your technical equipment is working properly. The dry run test consists of only three questions and it should take no more than 5 - 10 minutes to complete.
  4. On the day of the test, log in to take the exam 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.  The proctor will enable your access to the TEAS test at exactly 10 a.m.

The TEAS test consists of 170 multiple choice questions. If you divide these questions by subject area, there are 53 reading, 28 English and language usage, 36 math, and 53 science questions. You will have 209 minutes to complete the test. Most students taking the test do not require the full 3 1/2 hours to complete.

After completing the test online, your TEAS test scores will be accessible to the Pierce College Veterinary Technology Program.  We will obtain a copy of your test scores to include in your program application packet.  You do not need to submit an official copy of your TEAS test scores.
