What Do I Need to Apply?
Pierce College staff are available to assist in determining eligibility for Worker Retraining funding and resources. We are at both the Puyallup and Fort Steilacoom campuses from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for walk-in appointments, and we can meet with you in the afternoon by appointment as available.
Please contact Workforce for an appointment at 253-964-6265.
Expect to meet with staff for up to an hour on your first visit. During this appointment, we will start an application that will include a checklist of documents needed and available resources to gather those documents. Included in the information will be the steps to get started at Pierce College.
You can bring the following documentation with you to the first appointment, but it is not required to have at our first meeting:
- Confirmation that current year’s FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) has been completed.
- Unemployment payment history or DD214/ERB/ORB within last 48 months
- Education Plan from your Professional Technical Faculty Advisor, Navigator, or Program Coordinator.
