Program Information

Basic Education for Adults (BEdA) is perfect for students who need some refresher courses before enrolling in  college classes, taking the official GED test, or who simply want to improve their basic skills. Courses include social studies, writing, mathematics, reading, history and science. Classes meet for 5-12 hours per week and are available mornings, afternoons or evenings. Classes are offered at the Fort Steilacoom and Puyallup campuses.

New students need to attend an orientation and be scheduled for state required evaluation. Students are then enrolled in classes based on their skills assessment results.

Students who are younger than 19 yrs old, who have not yet graduated from high school, must submit a release from the school district in which they reside.
