Cranium Café

Pierce College’s Student Technology Assistance Team (STAT) helps students access and better understand technology utilized at Pierce College. We are pleased to offer both in-person and online technology support assistance to all Pierce College students. During all open computer lab hours, a friendly STAT member is available to help answer technology-related questions online using the Cranium Café platform in Canvas.

Cranium Café provides students access to a dedicated STAT member from their home computer, to provide timely support that eLearning students may need to be successful. Cranium Café provides one-on-one, face-to-face video conferences, so that questions can be addressed in real-time. There is a convenient chat feature for quick questions, screen sharing technology, and resource sharing.

In the modules section of the Cranium Café site, students can find many quick resource guides, step-by-step instructions on how to use Cranium Café, a discussion thread to ask offline chat questions for our team to answer when a STAT member becomes next available, and even a module to apply to be a member of our STAT team.
