The Children's Center
The Children's Center, located on the Fort Steilacoom campus, is a model laboratory school specially designed with an expansive outdoor and indoor learning environment that provides many opportunities for children to grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Unique laboratory observation facilities provide learning experiences for caregivers and Pierce College students. A.A. Early Childhood Education, B.S. Global Health
"I have been working as a cooperative preschool teacher since 2013 and value the benefits that forging relationships with families has on the whole child. My role as an educator is to support and structure educational goals in a hands-on way that engages and excites children. I believe that play is the work of childhood and seek to provide meaningful, experiential learning opportunities for children of all ages. I am also a mother, gardener, baker, hiker and avid Michigan fan. I have lived in the Puget sound area since 2010 and love exploring all of its beauty with my two young children."
