Security and Access

During business hours, the College is open to students, parents, employees, contractors, guests and invitees. During non-business hours, access to all College facilities is by card access, or by admittance via Campus Safety staff.

Some facilities may have individual hours that can vary at different times of the year. Examples are the Health Education Centers and the Arts & Allied Health building. In these cases, the facilities will be secured according to schedules developed by the department responsible for the facility. Emergencies may necessitate changes to any posted schedules.

Facilities and landscaping are maintained in a manner that minimizes hazardous conditions. Pierce College Campus Safety regularly patrols the main campuses and reports malfunctioning lights and other unsafe physical conditions to Facilities for correction. Other members of the College community can report equipment problems to Facilities via the Work Order system on the College Intranet.

The College does not have any officially recognized student organizations that have housing facilities on or off-campus.
