Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible to enroll for the 25-26 academic year?
All current and new students.
How do I enroll in future terms?
Students can enroll in current and future terms in ctcLink. You will now have the benefit of seeing classes that are available in future terms to plan your courses around your life and schedule. Use your registration how-to-guide to enroll.
How do I know what my time is to register?
Log into your ctcLink account to view your enrollment dates. Use this registration how-to-guide to support.
I’m a new student. Can I register for summer, fall, winter and spring classes at the same time?
Yes! Annual registration opens May 27 for new students.
What if I only know the classes I want to take this summer?
That’s okay! You are not required to enroll in multiple terms at once. We encourage you to meet with your advisor early to make a plan and enroll in the classes that fit your schedule. Visit the Advising Appointments web page to set up time with an advisor.
Can I change my schedule after enrolling?
Yes. You can make changes to your schedule in any term that has yet to start. If the term has already started, you can adjust your schedule during the add/drop period, which typically lasts through the first week of classes. After the add/drop period, changes may not be allowed or may require special permission.
What happens if a class I want is full?
If a class is full, you are able to join a waitlist. You will also have the ability to register now for the class if it is offered during a future term. In addition, we review enrollment on a regular basis during the registration period. As we review student enrollment and waitlists, we aim to respond by opening new sections. If you are waitlisted and new section(s) are opened up, you will be notified of the new section and encouraged to register there.
When we know we cannot open seats due to a lack of staffing or resources, advisors will be notified.
How do I schedule a meeting with my advisor?
Visit the Advising Appointments web page to find contact information for your preferred Advising Center. You can also choose the appointment type that’s right for you and book your appointment online.
What happens if I am not successful in a summer term class that is a prerequisite for a class I am enrolled in fall term?
Students will be dropped from their fall term class if they are not successful in the required prerequisite.
Do I have to pay for future term classes now?
No. Tuition deadlines will stay the same. You will not pay for future classes until tuition is due for that term.
I plan to use my military tuition assistance (TA) for classes. What do I need to do?
Each branch of service has different timelines on when you can submit a TA request.
Your first step is to connect with your local education counselor or virtual education center. They can help answer questions about TA eligibility and steps to requesting TA.
Once you have your TA eligibility confirmed, you will:
- Register for your class(es) with Pierce College using the ctcLink portal, and
- Submit your TA request in your service branch portal system for each class
It is important to complete both of these steps to activate your TA. Missing a step could result in a balance you have to pay out of pocket, or delay your enrollment with Pierce College.
The TA rules vary by branch of service and can change at any time. Generally speaking, TA requests are required a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of a term/session, but can be as far out as 60+ days. Stay apprised of the rules for your service branch by visiting with your education center, reading messages in your military portal or accessing online resources.

You may register for classes before you receive your MyCAA approval. However, if your classes are not approved you will need to be prepared to pay the balance owed using an alternative funding method or drop your classes by the published 100% refund date for the session.
