Writing tutors help to support student success and equalize learning opportunities for all students by providing direct support in writing, resource access, and moral support. We are a diverse team serving a diverse community, and we believe in creating an open and safe environment where all students feel welcome.

We also offer paid training, paid sick leave, and professional development opportunities including leadership, communication, and more!

How can I become a Writing Center tutor?

You are eligible to apply to be a tutor after completing ENGL 101.

We recommend scheduling a consultation with a Writing Center tutor to get feedback on a piece of your writing before applying. Our tutors can even offer suggestions on your resume before applying to work at the Writing Center.
