Learn More About TRIO SSS at Pierce College Puyallup
TRIO students are automatically enrolled into an online tutoring service which provides 24/7 tutoring. All students also have access to the PASS Tutoring Center, the Writing Center and the Math Center for in-person tutoring at the Puyallup campus.
We assist students in completing their financial aid applications through group and individual sessions. We also help students identify and apply for scholarships and grants.
We organize various trips to enhance the academic enrichment, cultural experiences, and professional development of our students. Recent trips include:
- The University of Washington in Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)
- The Burke Museum (Seattle, WA)
- The Civic Leaderships Institute (Aberdeen, WA)
- Argosy Cruise (Seattle, WA)
We offer college text books, graphing and scientific calculators, laptops, and small dry erase boards that can be borrowed on a quarterly basis. Students must be enrolled at Pierce College in order to utilize the lending library.
Unexpected expenses and emergencies can create a barrier to remaining in college. The Emergency Grant program is intended as one-time help to provide temporary, partial relief while students connect with long term support resources. We offer $500 to $1,500, awarded on a case-by-case basis.
This resource is limited to TRIO students.

Our TRIO Lounge will be opening on the Puyallup campus in January 2027. We will offer several amenities including study stations, free printing, lending library, a kitchenette, and many more! Stay tuned for more information.
