Step 1: Admissions

Submit a Pierce College online admissions form or visit the admissions office. There is a $25 non-refundable admissions fee for new or returning students (those who have not attended Pierce for four or more consecutive quarters).

Step 2: Money for college

Apply for financial aid, including scholarships, grants and loans, and learn about payment options.

Another option for funding is the Start Next Quarter program. Washington Colleges offer hundreds of students free and reduced tuition, books and fees every quarter. We want you to get the skills and education you need to find a stable career at a competitive salary, and we have programs and resources we want to make available to eligible students.

Step 3: Assessment

Complete the COMPASS assessment prior to meeting with an advisor. This will determine the level of coursework that will help you meet your educational goals.

Step 4: New Student Orientation and Advising

At the New Student Orientation, you will learn what it's like to be a Pierce College student. You will hear about available resources and support services, meet other new students, and receive information on how to make an appointment with your advisor. New Student Orientation is mandatory for all degree/certificate-seeking students.

Step 5: Register and Pay

After seeing your advisor, register and pay your tuition and fees. Generally, tuition and fees are due when you register.
