Pierce College Foundation Scholarships

Applications for Pierce College Foundation scholarships for the academic year 2014-2015 will be available on Feb. 13, 2014 and close April 10, 2014.

Apply on-line at and complete a profile and be matched with scholarships for which you meet the criteria. Students submit one application to be considered for all Foundation Scholarships.

Requirements: Taking at least 10 credits at the time of application and have a 3.0+ GPA.

Additional scholarships funded by community organizations

The Washington State Home and Community Educators Scholarship
Four scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to four women 25 years of age or older, who:
  1. Have a definite plan to use the desired training to enter or re-enter the job market, to improve chances for advancement or to train for a new career field.
  2. Have demonstrated a need for financial assistance to upgrade skills or complete their education for career advancement.
  3. Are Washington State residents attending a school in Washington State.

  • Established financial need.
  • Jewish women or men.
  • GPA of 3.0 (high school), 2.5 (post-secondary school).
  • Current Washington state resident.
  • Attending (or will attend) college, university, technical, vocational or job training school in Washington State.

Transfer Scholarships

Pierce County School Retirees Association Transfer Scholarship

Criteria: Completing AA degree by the end of summer quarter 2014 Transferring to a college or university as a full time student in Fall 2014 Pursuing a career in teaching or an education related field. You must have a 2.5 GPA
