Scholarships

Scholarships are a great way to pay for your education or technical training. New scholarships are announced throughout the year, so it's good to check back to this page frequently for information on the latest opportunities, as well as links to application information and other details.

Pierce College Foundation

The Pierce College Foundation acquires private funding for the college, provides enhancements to college programs, improves access for students, and promotes the college to the community. For more information about the Pierce College Foundation, visit the Foundation web page.

Applying for a Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded twice per year: once for Winter and Spring quarters and again for Summer or Fall quarter. Continue to check this website for updates on the deadlines for future scholarship applications, in the meantime here are steps you can take to prepare your application materials:

  1. Identify a reference to write a letter of recommendation. This person should be a teacher, instructor, supervisor or someone who knows you in a professional capacity.
  2. Organize your thoughts on why you should receive funds from the Foundation. The application process will require you to either write an essay or answer a series of short answer questions. Here are some questions to be thinking about in preparation for your scholarship application:
    1. What are your educational goals at Pierce College? Where do you see yourself after Pierce College?
    2. How will a scholarship/grant impact your educational goals at Pierce College?
    3. What makes you an excellent candidate for a Foundation scholarship/grant?
    4. Know where and how to get unofficial copies of your transcripts, these are an application requirement.

Complete your FAFSA

A FAFSA application must be on file with Pierce College Financial Aid 30 days before submitting your application.
