What Do I Need to Apply?

Pierce College staff are available to assist in determining eligibility for Worker Retraining funding and resources. We are available by phone 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for virtual walk-ins or by appointment virtually in the afternoons.

Please contact Workforce for an appointment to discuss work retraining at 253-964-6265 or fill out our online information request form.

Expect to meet with staff for up to an hour on your first visit. During this appointment, we will start an application that will include a checklist of documents needed and available resources to gather those documents. Included in the information will be the steps to get started at Pierce College.

You may be asked to provide the following, but it is not required to have at our first meeting:

  • Confirmation of current year’s FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid)
  • Unemployment payment history or DD214/ERB/ORB within last 48 months
  • Education Plan from your Professional Technical Faculty Advisor, Navigator, or Program Coordinator
