How do I register for a class?
You can register online, by phone, or in person. Read all about registration here.
Can I get credit for Continuing Education classes?
CCE classes are lifetime learning opportunities and do not apply toward a college degree.
I need to show my employer verification of my attendance. What document can I provide them?
We offer continuing education units (CEUs) to verify the hours you attended a class. If you are a teacher, you will want to register for our Clock Hours. Learn more about CEUs and Clock Hours.
How can I register another person?
Please be prepared to provide a mailing address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, citizenship, residence information and birth date for the other person. You can register online or you can give us a call at 253-864-3330 to register by phone.
Can I qualify for disability services when I take a Continuing Education Class?
Yes. The Disability Services office at Pierce College provides reasonable accommodations so that qualified students with documented disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate in all college programs, activities, events, and services. Learn more here.
How old do you have to be to take a Community and Continuing Education class?
Community and Continuing Education courses are designed to meet the learning needs of adult learners, age 18 and older, unless otherwise designated. However, we do make exceptions and prior approval is required. Please call 253-840-8451.
Do you offer any funding options or financial aid?
Most Continuing Education classes are non-credit and do not qualify for financial aid. However, students receiving unemployment may qualify for certain resources. Please contact our Workforce Education Department for more information.
Do you accept third party payments?
Yes. Please contact us at 253-840-8453 for additional information.
How do I know if the campus is closed due to inclement weather?
We will make every effort to contact you (via the information provided at the time of registration). However, it is not always possible to reach every student for every class. Therefore, please visit the Pierce College website and look for closure information pertaining to the campus where your class is held.
