Explore human history from a holistic perspective as you earn an associate’s degree enabling you to transfer to a four-year college. Choose to specialize by region (Western, Asian, Middle Eastern, etc.) or subject area (political, social, economic, etc).

Careers

Quite simply, history is the study of human experience. It is a holistic discipline involving political, economic, military, social, intellectual, philosophical, geographical, and cultural aspects of the development of humankind.

After developing a broad background in history, students may specialize in regional (Western, Asian, Middle Eastern, etc.) or topical (political, social, economic, etc.) subject areas. In general, the broad nature of historical studies allows the community college student to take all history classes on the community college level without history prerequisites.
