Retirement Plans and Life Insurance
With some life events, some consider changing or updating their beneficiary designations for their retirement and life Insurance plans. Here are some links to help you do that:
Life events may qualify you for a “Special Open Enrollment” period. This may allow you to make account changes (like changing a medical/dental plan, canceling your medical insurance, or enrolling a dependent) outside of the annual open enrollment period.
Please review the applicable information regarding your specific open enrollment event and what forms and proof you will need to submit to make account changes:

To make a change, you must submit the Employee Enrollment/Change form to Human Resources no later than 60 days after the event that created the special open enrollment. In many instances, the date you turn in your form to HR affects the date that coverage begins; see the table on page 10 of the Employee Enrollment Guide for effective dates. However, if adding a newborn or newly adopted child, and adding the child increases your premium, you must submit this form no later than 12 months after the birth or adoption.
