New Employee Orientation

What Is NEO?

A centralized welcome, organizational overview, hiring paperwork, health and retirement benefit orientation session for part-time hourly, full-time classified, and administrative exempt employees. The first two hours will consist of a welcome, introduction, organizational overview, hiring paperwork and a brief overview of the district departments. After that, part-time hourly employees will be released to report to their departments for department-specific training and their first day of work. All full-time classified and administrative exempt employees will then receive a health and retirement benefits briefing. Finally, classified employees will have 30 minutes at the end to hear from a WPEA union representative.

When?

New Employee Orientations (NEO) are held twice monthly at both campuses and occur on the first business day of each pay period. Orientations generally begin at 2 p.m. with occasional additional sessions at 9 a.m. according to need.
