BUS 260 is full and only offered fall quarter. I need to get into this course now. Is there an alternative?

Yes, the same courses (BUS 260 and 261) are offered through the JBLM Canvas with a fall/winter series. It is always a good idea to follow your educational plan and check with your advisor if there are any changes, including campus location.

To register, go to the Pierce College JBLM Registration web page.

Everyone is welcome in JBLM courses. You do not need to be in active service, a veteran or member of a military family to enroll in JBLM online courses.

I am interested in the course and would like to see the syllabus. Is it available online?

Yes. Sample syllabi are available for BUS 260 and 261.

Do these courses prepare me to take the PMP® or CAPM® Exam?

No, the courses are not exam prep courses.

They do fulfill the educational requirements for your certification application. BUS 260 and 261 courses are each 5 credits. The 5 credits convert to 50 PDUs for each course.

Are these courses a part of the Military Technology and Leadership Degree Program?

Yes!  If you are a service member interested in furthering your career, find out more about the Military Technology and Leadership degree.

I finished BUS 260 and 261 and would like to get my Pierce College Project Management certificate. How do I go about getting it?

Certificates are not awarded automatically. Download the Degree and Diploma Application on the Forms page.

After filling in your student information, go to the bottom of the second page. Locate “Certificate” and write in “Project Management”.  Then follow the submission directions on the first page.

PMP and CAPM are registered marks of the Project Management Institute, Inc.
