WCCCSA Study Abroad Trips
The Washington State Community College Consortium for Study Abroad offers trips that are usually 4 weeks to a full quarter.
Explore the beauty of the coastal city of Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. The program includes a guided city tour, and cultural activities like bread-making, henna, dance lessons, and a visit to a souk or Hamman. Students will also visit the city of Marrakesh for three days. Marrakesh is a former imperial city of the Moroccan Berber Empire and remains an important cultural, religious, and trading center. Lodging, transportation, a city tour, and some meals are provided during this excursion.
Spend four weeks studying Spanish in Alajuela, Costa Rica prior to the start of fall quarter. You will live with a host family and earn 5 credits of Spanish Language credits at Pierce College.
Be part of a cohort group of 20 to 30 students from Green River College and other colleges to live and study in Tokyo, Japan in this 10-week study abroad program. Earn 15 Green River transfer credits in Digital Photography, Art Appreciation and Japanese Culture.

Berlin, Germany — Spring 2020
Berlin is one of the most vibrant and exciting European capitals. The East and West sides of the city have retained their own identity since reunification and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Thanks to the rebuilding process, Berlin has become a focus for modern architecture and remains a major center of art and intentional business. The city, with its many famous parks and lakes, becomes especially full of life in the spring and summer when the locals are out on foot, bicycle and skates.
London, England — Fall 2020
Loved and respected for its architecture, theatres, museums, galleries and academic institutions, London has something for everyone. Along with earning a full quarter of transferable college credits, students live with British families and immerse themselves in day-to-day British life. Frequent field trips and travel opportunities enable students to experience the culture and history of this great city as well as the beautiful countryside of England. The teaching team tailors courses to the European environment and structures the coursework around several themes common to the locale.
Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand — Winter 2020
Melbourne is situated in southeastern Australia. It is one of the great livable cities of the world, noted for its diversity, vitality, and sophistication, a center for arts and culture with ready access to the wonders of Australia's natural history. In Auckland, New Zealand you will experience Maori culture, New Zealand's natural attractions and culture. Auckland is perhaps the most vibrant and bustling multicultural city in the world with its urban environment, beautiful beaches, hiking trails and glistening harbors.
