Step One: Apply for Admission

Readmissions Policy

As an open door institution, Pierce College permits the readmission of service members in compliance with the Federal Student Aid Handbook. Service members will be readmitted with the same academic status as when they last attended the college.

Step Three: Student Success Orientation

Your Student Success Orientation will prepare you with essential tools and resources, introduce you to our Self-Guided Placement process for English and Math, and show you how to schedule your first appointment with an advisor.

Step Four: New Student Advising

As a newly admitted student, we offer a 45-minute initial advising appointment to discuss your college and career goals and ensure your successful start. Our student success coaches at JBLM understand the unique needs and goals of military-affiliated students.

Your Previous Experience Counts at Pierce College

Your student success coach will help you build a personalized career pathway plan that includes your previous credits. Review Transferring Military Experience for information on how transfer credits, military service credits, standardized tests and more can be applied to your degree or certificate at Pierce College.

Step Five: Register for Classes

After meeting with your advisor, you're now ready to register for classes and pay your tuition and fees.
