How long does the training last?
Each session is 10 weeks.
How much does it cost?
The entire program is offered at a fraction of the cost of comparable programs. Total cost is shown on the Continuing Education Online Registration page (search Keyword: SAIL). That fee includes recording, tracking and mailing of certificates for Continuing Education Units for professional education/development (one price regardless of interest in CEUs).
How many training hours does this course offer?
Each online workshop provides 20 hours of course experience, which can be documented by a downloadable certificate of completion. Additional documentation for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professional education/development will be sent to the student upon successful completion of the workshop. How do I register?
Registration is done through the Pierce College Continuing Education online registration system using a secure site.
Do I have to be logged in at a specific time each day?
No. The workshops are designed to meet the needs of busy adults and working professionals. You can log in whenever it is convenient for your schedule. You should plan to login five of seven days each week to complete the weekly work.
Can I complete the workshop in fewer than 10 weeks?
Yes. The online training is set up in a series of eleven modules. Most students need about one week to complete each module, and work at this pace to complete all eleven modules in ten weeks. If you are willing to work hard, it is possible to complete the training in less than 10 weeks.
What if my username/password don't work?
If you're new to eCampus and have followed the login protocol, but are still having trouble logging into eCampus, call (253) 964-6244. If you are returning student, try the "Don't know your password?" link below the logon prompts. You need to know the email address used with your account and enter it so a reset link can be sent.
I registered, but, when I log in, I don't see any classes. What's wrong?
Most likely, nothing is wrong. Online classrooms open a week prior to the start date for the class. This allows you time to explore how to navigate the online classroom and familiarize yourself with course expectations. However, the actual class will not start until the official start date. See the Academic Calendar for the term.
What is required of me to complete the workshop?
You are expected to complete all of your assignments and contribute to the online discussion board. Check the workshop syllabus in the online classroom for specific details.
Where is my certificate?
Your certificate of completion for the 20 hour workshop will be generated at the end of the term after you have completed all workshop requirements and the workshop evaluation. You will be notified by your instructor when and where your certificate is available. CEU Certificates will be mailed to the home address entered when registering for the workshop. Students registering for academic credit will receive a final grade on their Pierce College transcript. More on transcripts here.
